Dale L. Wheeler, age 61, of Swanton, Ohio, formerly of Sylvania, passed away unexpectedly at home, Thursday morning, September 14, 2017.  He was born on January 31, 1956 in Toledo, to Floyd and Marcella (Rogers) Wheeler.  Dale married Paula J. Topel on October, 1, 1988.

Dale worked for the railroad for 15 years, he was also an entrepreneur and business owner for a network marketing company. He was always encouraging and a devoted son to his mother always taking care of her.  He loved hunting, traveling, politics, and reading.

Dale will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Paula; mother, Marcella Wheeler; daughters, Candace Wheeler (fiancé, Robert Wilson), and Amy Wheeler (Robert Hadel); granddaughter, Madeline Hadel; sisters, Sue (Dave) Clayton, and Sheila (Art) Brubaker.  

Dale was preceded in death by his father, Floyd.

Family and friends may visit Wednesday, September 20th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton (419.826.2631).  Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 21st at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Swanton Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

Dale was a great patriot who made a difference in so many lives. He always stood and fought for what he thought was right no matter the odds. A dear friend I shall truly miss. Our deepest condolences go out to his family.
