Deborah Sue Goller-Showman, age 37, of Delta, Ohio, formerly of Liberty Center, passed away unexpectedly in her home, early Thursday morning, December 22, 2011. She was born July 5, 1974 in Lima, Ohio to James and Marjorie (Wallen) Goller. Debbie was a 1992 graduate of Swanton High School and worked the past 15 years at Ottawa Rubber Company in Holland as a shipping and receiving clerk.
Debbie will be remembered as an avid reader with a photographic memory – she always had a book in hand; and “coupon queen” – always out to find a bargain. She enjoyed collecting yankee candles, loved her cats, but most of all spending time with her two sons and family.
She was very proud of her sons, Richard Showman, III (mechanical engineering student at the University of Toledo) and Brentt Showman (Four County Career student enrolled in the welding program). She will be greatly missed by them, as well as by her parents, Jim and Marge Goller; brother, Matthew Goller; sister, Martha (Zach) Graham; niece, Elise Goller; Fiance, Chad Oglesbee; and her sons' father, Richard Showman, Jr..
Debbie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Eugene and Ruth Goller and maternal grandparents, Irvin and Matilda Wallen.
Family and friends may visit Tuesday, December 27th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631). Visitation will continue Wednesday, December 28th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Richard Catholic Church, 333 Brookside Dr. in Swanton, where a Mass of Resurrection will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Robert Holden officiating. Interment will follow at St. Richard’s Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Richard or Brentt Showman for their education fund.

My condolences to Debbie's family. I lived down the street and went to grade school at St. Richard's with Debbie. I have a lot of good memories of Debbie and all of the rest of those that lived in our neighborhood.

Marge and family, I was very shocked & saddened to read about Debbie.
Debbie was in my daughter Holly's class at St. Richards. I knew her since I was librarian there. I worked with her at Swanton Public Library, and she brought her sons to my Storytimes there.dk
Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

To all of Debbie's family, my prayer's and thought's are with each and everyone of you. My heart break's for her boy's. She never stopped talking about how proud she was of them, and how much she loved them. I am sad that I can not be there to say my goodbye to her, but I will do so by sending her a few balloon's. I know she has her angel wing's and is looking down on each and every person that she loves. I know I am a better person for just knowing her.

I am so sorry to hear of Debbie's passing. Deb was such a wonderful person. I remember when I talked her into coming over to look at my kittens and she ended up taking both. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I will miss her facebook posts, but most of all her kind words. May GOD hold his arms around you during this difficult time.

Marge and Jim,
I lit a vigil candle at the Cathedral before the midnight Mass Christmas Eve for Deb and prayed for all of you grieving her loss.
We are visiting Rich's elderly parents in northern New York so we cannot be at the funeral to support you, but you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers daily.
We will talk soon--we love you and care about you all.

RIP to a very dear friend!! Debbie...you will be greatly missed by all especially your two sons who I know you loved dearly!! I have known you since the 1st grade and reconnected with you on FB a year ago but even though people don't talk doesn't mean there still not friends...we were great friends all through grade school and middle school and then reconnected when our boys were just infants and sadly enough lost contact due to my divorce but still you were always a wonderful person inside and out and an AWESOME mother...you have raised two great sons who loved you just as much as you did them!! RIP
