Dorothy A. (Clark) Stasa

June 15, 1927 ~ May 17, 2018 (age 90)

Dorothy A. Stasa, age 90, of Sylvania, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Thursdsay evening, May 17, 2018, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania.  She was born June 15, 1927 in Dandridge, Tennessee to Lula K. (Gass) and Carl S. Clark.  Dorothy was a 1945 graduate of Sand Creek High School.  On November 8, 1947, she married Charles Thomas Stasa. They lived 59 years outside of Lyons, Ohio. After Charles death in 2007, she moved to Mayberry Village in Sylvania.

Dorothy helped her late husband operate the family farm and raised six children.  In her later years, she worked and retired as an administrative assistant at Wacker Chemical Company in Adrian, Michigan.  A devout Catholic, Dorothy was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Assumption.

Dorothy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She will be truly missed by her children, Alan (Mark) Stasa of Westlake, OH, Bob (Jeanette) Stasa of Delta, OH, David (Barb) Stasa of Delta, OH, Mark (Karen) Stasa of Sylvania, OH, Annette (Gary) Miller of Sylvania, OH, Jeff (Michele) Stasa of Berkey, OH; daughter-in-law, Robin Cordes of Massilon, OH; special niece, Louise (Richard) Davis of Knoxville, TN; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Frances Zientek, Betty Harbal, and Millie Oliver; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her beloved husband of 59 years, Charles, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and one brother.

Family and friends may visit Sunday, May 20th from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora, 413 E. Main St., Metamora, OH 43540 (419.644.3601), where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m.  Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Monday, May 21st at 10:30 a.m., and follow with a Mass of Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption.  Fr. Michael Dandurand will preside.  Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
