Aaron E. Babcock, age 67, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017, at The Cleveland Clinic. He was born December 12, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio to Harmon and Evelyn (Burchell) Babcock. Aaron was a 1968 graduate of Swanton High School, and on January 27, 1968, married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Robasser. Together they raised three sons.
Aaron worked for Gradel Inc. and was a member of the Operators Union Local 18. After retirement, he enjoyed farming. He also loved gardening and any outdoor activity. Aaron was also known to be a car enthusiast. However, his greatest passion in life was spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a proud man who helped and taught many, but would not ask anyone for help.
He will be truly missed by his loving wife of 49 years, Barbara; his mother, Evelyn; his sons; Erik (Candee) Babcock, Jeremy (Melissa) Babcock, and Aaron (Heather) Babcock; spoiled grandchildren, Cassie, Taylor, McKenna, Seth, Zain, Jared, Dylan, Jordan (Kathryn) and Brooke; and great-grandsons, Asher and Beau. Also surviving are his siblings, Lynn (Danny) Atanacio, Joel (Jana) Babcock, Jamie (Michelle) Babcock and Ann (Joe) Gombash; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Harmon and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Babcock.
