Alice L. Patteuw

July 11, 1927 — March 24, 2015

Alice L. Patteuw, age 87, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker, entered into eternal life, Tuesday evening, March 24, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. Alice was born and raised in Richfield Center, Ohio to Louis and Matilda (Eisel) Ott, and was a graduate of Metamora High School. Alice married George Patteuw on May 4, 1947, and he preceded her in death in 1989.

Alice was a parishioner at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Assumption. She enjoyed farming alongside her late husband on the family farm, working in her yard, and flower and vegetable gardening.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Susan Kensler; son, Joseph Patteuw; grandchildren, Matt (Julie) Williams, Aimee (Paul) Swiatlowski, Teena (Jeff) Wheaton, Craig A. Patteuw and Skip L. Patteuw; great-grandchildren, Jack and Monica Williams; Savannah and Zoe Swiatlowski; sisters, Mary Bettinger, Kathleen Kasch and Marjorie Haupricht; sisters-in-law, Marilyn, Carole and Rosemary; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, George, Alice was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Gary George Patteuw; brothers, Paul, Harvey, Ray, Carl and Herman Ott; and sisters, Imelda, Edna, and Angela.

Family and friends may visit Saturday, March 28th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St. in Metamora (419.644.3601), where funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Assumption.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Funeral Service: Saturday, March 28th at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home

Interment at a Later Date: St. Mary's Cemetery in Assumption
