Anne W. Smith
Anne W. Smith, age 78 , of Swanton, Ohio, was received into heaven on Friday, May 27, 2016, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 26, 1938 to Victor and LaVerne (Wright) Sell. Anne married Floyd Smith of Swanton on January 5, 1958; he preceded her in death on October 18, 2013. She was a straight A student and graduated from Metamora High School in 1956, and she was the salutatorian.
Anne was a life long and very active member of Lytton Zion United Church of Christ in Delta. After getting her four children through High School, she volunteered and soon became a long time employee at the Swanton Public Library.
She enjoyed traveling, camping, music, reading and flower gardening. She once said her favorite thing was to watch the waves hit the shore. But, it later turned to having the entire family together at one time. She will best be remembered by many for helping anyone, whenever and however she could.
Anne is survived by her loving children, Raymond (Marguerite), Sheila (Kevin), Bennett (Marilou), and Allen (Leslie); grandchildren, Allyson, Jacob, and Madison; sisters, Jeannine Kreuz and Linda Tischer.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and LaVerne, and husband, Floyd Smith.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 4, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lytton Zion United Church of Christ, 12892 County Road 5, Delta, Ohio, with Pastor David Loar officiating. To Anne's Family, I extend my sympathy to you on your loss. My wife, Ruth Snyder was raised in the Lytton Church also. We got married in 1956 and didn't get back very often. She passed away from cancer in July, 2015.
