Bernard "Bernie" Mohler, age 74, of Wauseon, Ohio, passed away in his home of a sudden heart attack, Sunday morning, December 27, 2020. He was born on September 18, 1946 in Wauseon, Ohio to Chalmer and Helen (Reiter) Mohler. Bernard graduated from Delta High School.
Bernie served in the United States Navy. He worked within an exclusive group of Navy Electronics Technicians, that were specially trained in electrical engineering and aerospace. While in the Navy and installing radar equipment, a failure in his harness caused him to fall 60 feet onto the steel deck of a Navy ship. That resulted in injury to his hand and forearm. He didn't let this injury interfere with his life. After serving in the Navy, Bernie worked alongside his dad as a TV technician at Mohler TV. He later went to work at Fayette Tubing and Fulton Mill Service in Delta.
Bernie is survived by his brothers, Richard (Rita) Mohler, James Mohler, Roger Mohler and David (Deb) Mohler; longtime friend, Gloria Delgato; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bernie was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Donna Connors and Rose Whitmer; brothers, Chalmer Jr., Robert and Jerry Mohler.
Graveside services at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta are pending at this time.
