Beth Marie Puder

Beth Marie Puder, age 70, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital.  She was born September 16, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio to Donna Marie (Simon) and Earl W. Gearig. She was a 1968 graduate of Swanton High School.

Beth worked as a dispatcher for the Edelstein/Omnisource Corp. in Toledo for over 20 years. She thoroughly enjoyed watching her grandsons sporting events every chance she got. She was an avid Ohio State fan, as well as both the Cleveland Browns and Indians.  Beth loved the holidays and looked forward to spending time with her family, especially at Christmas time. She was a lifelong member of St. Richard Catholic Parish. Beth was also a friend of Bill W. for the past 6 years.

Beth is survived by her daughter, Hope (Jason) Modlin; mother, Donna Gearig; sister, Linda (Rick) Salisbury; brothers, Wayne (Leslie) Gearig and Mark Gearig; grandchildren, Kaleb and Devin Modlin; as well as many nieces and nephews. 
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl and brother-in-law, Michael Buesking. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be private for the family at St. Richard’s Catholic Church. A public memorial service will be held for friends and family at a later date. 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Richard Catholic Church, 333 Brookside Dr., Swanton, Ohio 43558.

The family is grateful to all her friends who helped her trudge the road to happy destiny.

Beth and I became friends in high school when she came after attending St. Richards. We had so much fun going to each others homes on Main Street. I will never forget her laugh and how happy she was. My heart is with her family. God Bless them during this time.

Beth was a true friend and I loved seeing her in the past few years. She was happy all the time and never had a bad word for anyone. She will truly be missed.
