Bonnie L. Smallman, age 68, of Delta, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. She was born on February 5, 1953, in Wauseon, Ohio to Norman and Margueritte (Teitz) Burghardt. Bonnie graduated from High School in 1971. She married the love of her life, Frank Smallman, Jr., on May 13, 1971.
Bonnie enjoyed life, especially being a grandma. She loved spending time with her grandkids and always looked forward to having conversations with them. Bonnie’s mom, Margueritte, passed down the wonderful tradition of crocheting blankets for her grandkids. When she wasn’t building memories with her grandkids, she liked to pass the time completing puzzles and crosswords. Bonnie and her husband, Frank, looked forward to spending every moment they could together. Everything from watching NCIS or the Ohio State Football game together, to simply watching the various types of birds enjoy all the bird feeders in their yard. Bonnie had an affinity for county music, especially Elvis.
Left to cherish Bonnie’s memory are her children, Shannon (Timothy) Hahn, Nichole (David) Baughey, Frank Smallman, III and Amanda (Shane) Carr; sister, Diane (Ted) Walbolt; brothers, Norman (Susie) Burghardt, David Burghardt and Randy (Kimberly) Burghardt; grandchildren, William, Kayla, Ashley, Katrina, Kyle, Samantha, Summer, Amber, Rebecca, Rachel, Antonio, Jeanie, Kelly and Shauna; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents.
