Brenda J. McBride

Brenda J. McBride, age 53, of Neapolis, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday morning, January 3, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born August 18, 1962 in Toledo, Ohio to Howard and Virginia (Busack) Fuller. Brenda was a 1979 graduate of Swanton High School and obtained her associate degree in early childhood education from Owens Community College. She was currently only a few semesters away from obtaining her bachelors degree.

Brenda married Patrick McBride on August 23, 1980. She currently worked as assistant director of daycare at Marie Childcare in Toledo. She devoted her time to her work and teaching others for certification in the childcare profession. She especially enjoyed the infants and toddlers and working on creative projects with the kids. When she wasn't working or studying, Brenda loved sunbathing, tending to her plants, and spending time with her family and pets.

She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 35 years, Patrick; daughters, Breann (Ryan) Taylor and Heather McBride; grandchildren, Grace and Gabrielle; and spoiled four legged companion, Penny.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Virginia Fuller.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton (419.826.2631), where a memorial service will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lucas County Humane Society.
