Carol Mae Kleck, age 85, of Delta, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Thursday morning, June 17, 2021, at Swanton Health Care & Retirement Center. Carol was born January 6, 1936 in Wauseon, Ohio to Joseph and Lilah (Gordon) Vonier. She was a 1952 graduate of Pettisville High School. She met Daryl Kleck at the Fulton County Fair, and they married on April 25, 1954. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2017.
Carol worked several years as an office manager for a doctor's office in Toledo. She retired a year ago from the Northwest Ohio ESC Board, where she served for over 35 years. She actively volunteered with the Open Door in Delta and loved every minute of it. Carol was also a long time member of the Delta Church of Christ.
Left to cherish Carol's memory are her children, Karla (Gary) Meier, Jill Woo, Denise (Steve) Loeffler, Michelle (Tim) Warncke, and Keith (Penny Spinner) Kleck; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard (Carol) Kleck, Jeaninne Lovgren, and Lynn (Sue) Kleck; as well as many nieces and nephews, and her spoiled cat, Daisy.
Besides her beloved husband of 63 years, Daryl, Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Dottie Detter and brother-in-law, Tom Lovgren.
Family and friends may visit, Sunday, June 20th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Grisier-Weigel Funeral Home, 400 W. Main St. in Delta (419.822.3121). Funeral Services will be held at the Delta Church of Christ (500 Providence St. Delta, Ohio 43515) on Monday, June 21st at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Dave Underwood officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
