Cathleen "Star" (Lathrop) Thornburgh

Cathleen E. “Star” (Lathrop) Thornburgh, age 59, of Berkey, Ohio, formerly of White Pigeon, Michigan, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 23, 2022, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. Star was born October 29, 1962 in Toledo, Ohio to Reginald and Lolabel Louise (Shoemaker) Lathrop. She attended Evergreen High School, and married Jeffrey Thornburgh on October 1, 1991. Jeff preceded her in death on November 3, 2010.

Star and Jeff took pride in their peaceful 10 acre property in White Pigeon, Michigan. Star enjoyed flower gardening and wathcing Nascar, and had a love for animals as well. Star truly loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Left to cherish her memory are her father, Reginald L. Lathrop of Berkey, OH; sisters, Linda (De) Flores of Swanton, OH and Billie (John) Szczepanski of Delta, OH; brother, Joe Lathrop of Berkey, OH; several nieces and nephews, and four-legged companion, Starsky.

Besides her husband, Jeff, Star was preceded in death by her mother, Lolabel and sister, Dee Dee Shoemaker.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Ford Cemetery in Berkey.
