Charles Raymond Dreps, age 87, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Spring Meadows Senior Community in Holland, Ohio. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 3, 1928 to the late Charles A. and Evelyn E. (Wilson) Dreps. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On November 28, 1953 Charles married Joanne Kowalski. He was employed by the Jeep Corporation for 40 years before retiring in 1988. After retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling across the United States in their fifth wheel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joanne; children, Robert (Margie) Dreps, Debora (Richard) Trumbull and Sharon (William) Odom; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Abramczyk; and papa's baby girl, Maggie.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; son, Walter; sister, Barbara Ziehr; and infant brother, Clarence.

Family and friends may visit Thursday, May 5th from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton (419.826.2631). A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening in the funeral home. Graveside services will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Hospice Care.
