Christine R. Souslin

Christine R. Souslin, age 75, of Swanton, Ohio passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, April 1, 2025 at Spring Meadows Care Facility in Holland, Ohio. She was born on May 14, 1949 to Robert and Laura (Rose-Wymer) Topel.

Christine graduated from Swanton High School and went on to graduate from Bowling Green State University earning her degree in Education. She taught for Gorham Fayette Schools.  Christine always loved teaching children, reading to people and doing crafts. She was a member of Swanton Alliance Church and Pythian Sunshine Girls. 

Christine is survived by her brothers, Gary (Karen) Topel, Terry (Brenda) Topel; sisters, Susan Farough and Paula Wheeler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Laura Topel; her husband, Richard “Dick” Souslin; daughter, Becky Souslin and grandson, Robert Onweller-Souslin.

Memorial contribution can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton.
