Christopher Alan Szymanowski

July 6, 1958 — June 14, 2025

Swanton, Ohio

Christopher Alan Szymanowski, age 66, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away in his home, Saturday morning, June 14, 2025, due to natural causes. Chris was born July 6, 1958 in Toledo, Ohio to Albert and Wanda (Belt) Szymanowski.

Chris had a lifelong love for racing dirt bikes. Whether he was out on the track or cheering on others, he found joy in the thrill of the sport and the camaraderie that came with it. He was also an avid hunter, spending countless hours in the outdoors, appreciating nature and the peacefulness it offered him.

In addition to his own hobbies, Chris dedicated much of his time to coaching and mentoring young athletes while his children were growing up. He took great pride in helping kids build skills, confidence, and a love for the game.

He was deeply rooted in the Swanton community, where he cherished the friendships he built over the years. Being part of this community meant everything to him, and he always looked forward to gatherings, local events, and lending a hand wherever he could.

Above all, Chris will be remembered for the warmth, generosity, and kindness he showed to everyone he met. He taught his family the importance of hard work, integrity, and loyalty—values that continue to guide those he leaves behind. His passion for life, his dedication to his family, and the genuine friendships he formed throughout the years have left a lasting mark on the community he loved so dearly.

Chris’s role as a father and grandfather was paramount. He took great pride in his son, Jordan Szymanowski and daughter Kristina Irwin. He was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Michael, Lily and Jordan, who brought him immense joy.

Besides his children and grandchildren, Chris is survived by his brother, Rick (Linda) Szymanowski, and his aunt, Marlene MacQueen.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Wanda Szymanowski, and his sister, Pamela Szymanowski.
