Darlene Rose Kennedy

Darlene Rose Kennedy, age 80, of Grand Rapids, Ohio, formerly of Swanton, passed away Wednesday morning, November 8, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital Emergency Room. She was born January 21, 1937 in Fremont, Ohio to Carl and Ida (Schultz) Hufford. Darlene was a 1955 graduate of Fremont Ross, and married Glenn Albert Kennedy on January 5, 1957. He preceded her in death November 19, 1970.

Darlene cleaned houses while raising her three children. She loved horseback riding, listening to country music, taking cruises and trying her luck at the casinos. Most of all, she loved family get togethers.

Left to cherish he memory are her children, Marcia Kennedy, Hy Kennedy and Steven Kennedy; granddaugthers, Amber Marie Porritt and Tasha Ellis Kennedy; great-grandson, Maxwell Princeton Ellis Kennedy; and her brother, Terry Schultz.

Besides her husband, Glenn and her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her special friend, Louis Rahman.

Services will be private. Interment will take place at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Bradner.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northwest Ohio.
