Darwin Eugene Box

Darwin Eugene Box, age 78, of Liberty Center, Ohio, passed away to be with Jesus Sunday morning, September 24, 2023. He was born on October 5, 1944 to Clyde Edgar and Gladys Irene (Meister) Box in Wauseon, Ohio. He loved the Lord Jesus and his wife of 61 years, Mary Elizabeth Victoria Moore, and they were wed on September 10, 1962.

Darwin worked for Libbey-Owens-Ford as a crane operator and team leader. He was a true outdoorsman who thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.

Darwin is survived by his loving wife Mary; children, Christopher (Kimy) Box, William Box, Sarah (Tony) Erb and John Box; sister, Irene (Dave) Jacobs; 15 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Darwin is preceded in death by his sisters, Christie Ann Smith and Nancy Boggs; brother, Waldo Box; and his granddaughter, Elizabeth.

Services for Darwin will be private.
