David C. Carroll
David C. Carroll, age 58, of Swanton, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Monday afternoon, December 14, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee. He was born October 26, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Charles and Roberta (Glover) Carroll. Dave was 1975 graduate of Swanton High School and attended the University of Toledo. He married his beloved wife, Patricia Susan Moore, on October 10, 1986 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marygrove. Together they raised three wonderful children.
Dave was devoted to his job working as a millwright with TL Industries in Rossford, and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. He enthusiastically fixed practically anything. Dave was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was proud of his recent accomplishment of restoring an old aluminum boat, which he had the joy of taking out on the water at least once. Dave enjoyed taking long relaxing naps and he loved hanging out with his local childhood friends. Most of all, he cherished his routine Saturday afternoon date with his wife Patty at Ventura's.
Dave will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 29 years, Patty; children, Charles David Carroll, Chelsea Susan Carroll, and Chad David Carroll; sisters, Deb (Chris) Williams and Dana (Donald) Urbina; several nieces and nephews; and of course his four-legged companions, Hannah and Holly, and "grand dog", Blue.
Family and friends may visit Friday, December 18th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Prayers will begin in the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, December 19th, followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity (Immaculate Conception) Catholic Church at Marygrove, 1750 N. Raab Road, with Fr. Michael Dandurand presiding. Interment will follow at Marygrove Cemetery.
A special heartfelt thank you to the Spencer Township Rescue Unit for responding to the Dave's needs over the past few months.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Spencer Township Rescue, 9445 Frankfort Rd., Holland, OH 43528.
