Dennis "Mike" Keefe

Dennis Michael Keefe, affectionately known as Mike, age 71, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away in his home, Friday morning, March 31, 2017. He was born April 13, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio to Daniel and Elizabeth (Evans) Keefe. On May 4, 1967, he married his beloved wife, Janet Merritt.

Mike retired from Dana. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt deer, fish, trap turtles and shoot archery.

Mike will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 49 years, Janet; children, Pamela (Jesse) Paiva, Dennis Edward Keefe and Kimberly (Danny) Franklin; grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew, Jesse, Sarah, Zachary, Lianna, Kassidy and Brooke; great-grandson, Carter; 2 brothers and 2 sisters; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Yvonne Marie Keefe and brother, Dan Keefe.

Family and friends may visit Tuesday, April 4th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631). Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 5th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
