Donnabelle Malburg

Donnabelle “Donna” Malburg, age 81, of Metamora, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Saturday morning, April 23, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, at Sunset Village in Sylvania. She was born September 25, 1934 in Tontogany, Ohio to Herschel and Edna (Burwell) Vollmar. Donna was a 1953 graduate of Washington Township High School, and married the love of her life, Virgil Malburg, on May 7, 1955.

Donna was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was an amazing mother, wife, and grandmother. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family, singing in the church choir, and will be remembered for her great sense of humor. Her infectious laugh will be greatly missed.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Virgil; children, Greg (Carol) Malburg, Kathy (Tim) Wollin, James, Virginia (Mike) Stoltz, and Tom (Lisa) Malburg; grandchildren, Greg, Jr. (Robin), Amanda (Brian) Clark, Joseph, Brandon, Tyler, Alex, and Angela, Aaron Wollin, Courtney, Jerry and Michael Stoltz; and 9 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her two brothers, Jerry (Debbie) Vollmar and Kent (Denise) Vollmar; sisters-in-law, Kay and Sally Vollmar, Adeline Adams and Eileen Ross; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Mary Ann) Malburg and Glen Walter; as well as several nieces; nephews and cousins.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Merland “Budge”, Bill and John Vollmar; and sister, Helen Peterson.

Family and friends may visit Tuesday, April 26th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora, 413 E. Main St. (419.644.3601), where the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday, April 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2649 US 20, Swanton, OH 43558, where a Mass of Resurrection will begin at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ashanti Hospice, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, or St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Visitation: Tuesday, April 26th from 2 to 8 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora

Mass of Resurrection: Wednesday, April 27th at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption

Interment: St. Mary's Cemetery
