Elizabeth J. Szabo

Elizabeth J. "Beth" Szabo, age 62, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away into the arms of Jesus on Friday afternoon, March 12, 2021, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.  She was born January 17, 1959 in Oregon, Ohio to George and Evonne (Neff) Shackelford.  Beth was a 1977 graduate of Genoa High School.  She married William Szabo on August 27, 1983. 
 
Beth was a waitress for Bob Evans in Northwood, Ohio prior to going to work as a bank teller for Citizens Bank.  She retired in 2019 from Union Bank in Pemberville, Ohio.
 
Beth's life revolved around the well being of her family.  She was so full of love and selflessness; always putting everyone else's needs before her own.
 
Beth will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 37 years, Bill; daughter, Jodi (Che) Ochoa; stepdaughters,  Cynthia (Mike) Williams and Dawn Marie Szabo; daughter-in-law, Sena Szabo; grandchildren, Savannah, Isaiah, Misty (Nick) Snyder, Amy Szabo and Kyle Finucan; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Braxton and Dalton; step grandchildren, Ahna, Amparo and Andres; sister, Sherry (Rob) Cannon; brother-in-law, Wesley Reeder; niece, Kelli Fink and nephews, Ronald Potter and Michael (Melissa) Vaughan, and best friend, Wanda Houston.
 
Beth was preceded in death by her parents, George and Evonne; stepson, Daryl Szabo and sister, Kathy Reeder.

 A public memorial service for Beth will be held at a later date.
