Elmer Leo Snyder, age 60, of Berkey, Ohio, died unexpectedly, Monday morning, December 10, 2007 at his home, as the result of a fall. He was born June 18, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to Wilfran and Mary Emma (Austin) Snyder. He was a truck driver for the Barrett Corporation and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish and Boy Scouts Post #167.

He is survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfran and Mary; brother, Gary Snyder; maternal grandparents, Elmer Guy and Violet Austin; and paternal grandparents, Leo and Florence Snyder.

Family and friends may visit Thursday, December 13th from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora, Ohio. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Friday, December 14th at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Assumption. Fr. Frederick Snyder will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
