Emaline R. Whitcomb

June 3, 1936 — March 11, 2016

Emaline Rhoda Whitcomb moved to her heavenly mansion Friday afternoon, March 11, 2016, at her daughter Sally's home in Delta, Ohio, surrounded by her family who loved and treasured her. Rhoda was born June 3, 1936 in Holland, Ohio to Sylvester and Dorothy (Harper) Hosler and she attended Holland High School. On August 28, 1954, she married the love of her life, Clarence D. Whitcomb, Sr. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1994.

Rhoda was privileged to get to spend her life as a homemaker and stay at home mom. She loved being involved in their lives and their many activities helping lead Camp Fire Girls groups for all three of her daughters, being a "baseball mom" for one son, and cleaning and cooking whatever the other son brought home from his hunting trips. She also enjoyed hosting all the neighborhood kids in their backyard.

Rhoda leaves a family she is very proud of including her children, Margie (Walt) Seeman, Chickie (Richard, Sr.) Bunting, Clarence Whitcomb, Jr., Richard (Chris) Whitcomb and Sally (Charles) Robinett. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amber Bunting and Ricky Bunting, Justin Seeman and Keith Seeman, Kristen and Chelsea Whitcomb, Leo and Kyle Lessard, Jenna Whitaker and Cara (Ethan) Short; great-grandsons, CJ and Mason; her siblings, Genny (Joe) Ruehle, Calvin (Shirley) Hosler and Dotty (Ron) Browning; sister-in-law, Jane Hosler; as well as a great number of nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Clarence and her parents; Rhoda was met on the other side by her brother, Sylvester "Bum" Hosler, Jr.; sister, Lydia Smitley and granddaughter, Jamie Doremus.
