Erich J. Stasa

Erich J. Stasa, age 50, of Swanton, Ohio, died Thursday, March 2, 2023, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.  He was born February 27, 1973 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and (Jeanette Miller) Stasa.  Erich was a 1991 graduate of Evergreen High School and attended Four County.  He married Stacy Shadler on September 14, 1996.

Erich worked as a mechanic for CargoTech and was a member of Swanton American Legion Riders. He was a dog lover and loved riding his Harley. Erich had a passion for landscaping and listening to music. He will be remembered for his colorful personality and the “son without a filter”. Erich loved having a good time, telling silly jokes, and was always seen with a smile on his face and being full of laughter.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 26 years, Stacy; daughter, Ayrika Stasa; mother and father, Jeanette and Robert Stasa; siblings, Heather Stasa-Lathrop, Ryan Stasa and Rachel Stasa; father-in-law, Tom (Linda) Shadler; sister-in-law, Amy Wilson; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Erich was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Linda Mapes Shadler, maternal grandparents, Harvard and Barbara Miller and paternal grandparents, Charlie and Dorothy Stasa. 

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 9th from 4 to 7 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton.
