Frank “Wayne” Brewster, age 79, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 in his home. Wayne was born on November 15, 1942 in Swanton, Ohio to Lewis and Zora “Deanie” (Dickman) Brewster. He was a 1960 graduate of Liberty Center High School. Wayne married the love of his life, Paulette Purtee on March 14, 1964. He was a lifelong farmer in Swanton and worked for Sun Oil Refinery for 30 years. Wayne was a member of the Toledo Colony of the Mayflower descendants, a member of the Church of Christ, as well as the Ohio Farm Bureau. He especially enjoyed camping around the country with his wife, Paulette.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 57 years, Paulette M. Brewster; children, Carmen (Terry) Chapman, Karen (Greg) Guyer and Kenneth (Michelle) Brewster; brothers, Leonard (Marjorie) Brewster and Joseph (Margaret) Brewster; grandchildren, Bruce (Tiffany) Guyer, Matthew (Riley) Guyer, Susan Guyer, Joseph (Ashley) Guyer, Christopher (Katie) Chapman, Thomas (Connie) Chapman, Tony (Mikayla) Pineda, Brittany (Roman) Osborn, Joshua (Haley) Brewster and Katelynn Brewster, as well as 8 great-grandchildren.
Wayne was preceded in death by his brothers, Phillip and Paul Brewster.
Visitation for Wayne will be held on Monday, February 7th from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 8th at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Vic Cales, officiating. Interment will follow at Swanton cemetery.
Memorial contributions be made to the Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission, 117 W. Woodruff Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43604.
