Frank William Smallman, Sr., age 88, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, December 2, 2018 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. He was born November 22, 1930 in Metamora, Ohio to Lee F. and Eva (Price) Smallman. He married Chloe Nichols and she survives.
Frank was a self-employed painting contractor, a business he started in 1958. He coached Little League and Pony League Baseball and loved woodworking. Frank was a member of the Delta Church of Christ.
He is survived by his loving wife, Chloe; children, Frank (Bonnie) Smallman, Jr., Steven (Mary Jo) Smallman, Walter (Diane) Smallman, Terry (Christine) Smallman, Dennis (Alice) Smallman, Sandra Harman (Gilbert Rodriguez) and Rex (Ann) Smallman; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Shirley Salisbury and John (Dorothy) Smallman.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bonnie Stover, brother Nelson Smallman and granddaughter, Katie Smallman.
Family and friends may visit Thursday, December 6th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St. in Metamora, where funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Underwood presiding. Interment will follow at Amboy Township Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ebeid Hospice.
