Fred married his first wife, Marcella Fruchey in Lyons in 1946. They had three children; Michael (Elizabeth) Tredway, Molly (Jack) Lugbill and Matthew (Evelyn) Tredway; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.

Fred is also survived by his second wife, Beatrice “Bea” whom he married in 1970. Also survived by his stepdaughter Linda (Joe) Miller and stepson, William (Bobbie) Simpkins; 4 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; brother, Horace (Liz) Tredway; sister, Elizabeth Rowland; and many nieces and nephews.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Tredway; son-in law Jack Graf and brother-in-law, Elvin Rowland.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 22nd from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora, where a Masonic Service will be held at 6:45 pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Heather Schimmel officiating. Interment, with Military Rites, will follow at Amboy Township Cemetery.

My sincere sympathy to the Bea and the Tredway family in your loss of Fred. I heard too late to attend visitation. I always enjoyed visiting with Fred. What a kind and gentile man he was! He raised a great family! God be with you all.
