Gary L. Fitch

Gary L. Fitch, age 71, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away in his home, following a long and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis.  He was born July 29, 1948 in Grand Rapids, Ohio to Marion and Charlotte (Ross) Fitch, and 1966 graduate of Swanton High School.

Gary worked as a maintenance engineer for Rexam Beverage Can factory in Whitehouse, Ohio, where he retired.  He enjoyed motorcycle riding, remodeling his home, loved his cats and was a health nut.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Steve) Deemer; grandson, Brandon Bruischart; granddaughter, Megan (Chad) Bouwman; 9 great-grandchildren; and the mother of his daughter, Nancy Harrison.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Louie and Marion Fitch.

In keeping with Gary's wishes, he will be cremated and services will be private.

We knew Gary from earley days. I worked with him at the Can.He was always good friend.

Gary was my dear friend and father to our daughter. WE loved riding the Harley, working in the garden, talking about health and our family. Gary was my 1st love!! He loved to work on his home. He was a true dear precious friend and constant in my life

Nancy is my dear friend but I did not know Gary. I have great sympathy for her as she and Gary had remained friends all these years. He had to be a good guy to attract Nancy into his life. They are all in my prayers,
