Gerald Ross Eggleston, age 84, of Middlefield, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, August 27, 2015, at the Elizabeth Scott Community in Maumee. He was born May 21, 1931 in Burton, Ohio, to Forrest M. and Cleo Belle (Young) Eggleston. He graduated from Middlefield High School in 1952.

Gerry worked as a custodian at the Geauga Rubber Company. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, boating and playing various sports.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Evelyn M. Eggleston; and nieces and nephews, Lynda (Jeff) Mossing, Laurie (Jim) Larkins, Mark (Beth) Eggleston and Bob Eggleston.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Cleo Belle and brother, James Eggleston.

Graveside services at Parkman Overlook Cemetery will be held at a later date.

A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Elizabeth Scott Community for their dedicated care of Gerry. Their endless attention to Gerry's care shall never be forgotten.
