Harold E. Myers

Harold Edward Myers, age 84, previously of Swanton, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Tuesday afternoon, June 1, 2021, at Sunset Village in Sylvania. He was born on August 5, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio to Francis and Elizabeth (Dibling) Myers. Harold married the love of his life, Rose M. Tunison, on November 3, 1956. They had five children together. Harold worked at The Pilliod Company in Swanton for 25 years, retiring in 1998.

Harold attended Immaculate Conception in Marygrove and was a member of Little Flower Catholic Parish in Toledo. He enjoyed being surrounded by nature, and especially taking camping trips with his family. Harold also spent time farming and tending to his garden. His most favorite pastime was playing and laughing with his grandkids. Harold was a proficient handyman. He displayed incredible skill in the ability to fix just about anything.

Harold will be greatly missed by his daughters, Rose Marie Myers “Punk” and Teresa (Albert) McGaharan; sons, John (Shawn) Myers and James Myers; grandchildren, Ian Harris (Nicole), Eric Myers, Morgan McGaharan, Mattew Myers, Alexx Wuertz (Nick), Jenna Myers, Kobe Myers; 6 great-grandchildren; and brother, Clifford (Elizabeth) Myers.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 63 years, Rose; daughter, Mary Leslie; granddaughter, Katie Harris; brother, Francis, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Beth Myers.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., with Father Chris Hudgin officiating.
