Hartlyn Kay Pelland

Hartlyn Kay Pelland, a dearly loved and cherished daughter, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 7, 2026. She was born on July 14, 2026, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, to her loving parents, Haley J. Stephens and Anthony M. “Tony” Pelland Jr.

In her brief but beautiful life, Hartlyn brought immeasurable joy to all who knew her. With her beautiful blue eyes and full head of hair, she was a sweet and happy baby whose smiles brightened every room. She had just begun to coo and had already perfected her endearing “side-eye.” Strong from the very beginning, Hartlyn learned to hold her head up at an early age. She was alert, attentive, and delightfully curious about the world around her. Her big sisters adored holding and snuggling her, and the loving bond they shared will always be treasured.

In addition to her parents, those left to cherish Hartlyn’s precious memory include her sisters, Oaklyn M. and Lakelyn M. Pelland; grandparents, Michelle (Jeffery) Zigler, Donald Stephens Jr., Chastity (Josh) Caudill, Anthony Pelland Sr., Rob (Shelly) Mitchell, and Tony Adams, Sr.; and aunts and uncles, Alexander (Jazmon) Stephens, Jonathan Stephens, Nick Pelland, Haley Ambil, Bella Griffith, Autumn Pelland, Alliey Pelland, Hunter Pelland, Taylor (Robert) Parsons and Marisa Caudill.

Hartlyn was preceded in death by her baby sister, Roselyn, and grandmothers, Ruth Adams and Mindy Pelland.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut Street, Swanton. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m., with interment to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hartlyn’s family for a charity of their choice, allowing her memory to bring comfort and kindness to others.
