Hope Marie Truckor

Hope Marie Truckor, affectionately known as Mama Hope, age 57, of Swanton, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Wednesday afternoon, September 28, 2022, at Perrysburg Mercy Health, following a courageous battle with cancer. Hope was born October 25, 1964 in Toledo, Ohio to Donald and Dorothy (Wilson) Szczesniak. She was a 1983 graduate of Swanton High School and obtained her accounting degree from the University of Toledo. On October 17, 1987, after dating since the 8th grade she married Randy Truckor.

Hope was an accountant at the Village Tax Service and for Adelante. She was a member of St. Richard Catholic Parish. Hope devoted her time to her family and they all loved her great cooking skills.  She enjoyed vacationing to the beautiful Florida beaches and shopping.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 34 years, Randy, son, Jonathon (Bre) Truckor; daughter, Nicole Truckor (Eric La Dow); stepfather, Mark Boehk; brother, Shane Elton (Beverly Blanton); father and mother-in-law, Roger and Sandy Truckor; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick (Mary) Truckor and Robert (Kelly) Truckor; many nieces and  goddaughter Paris Butler; and of course her four legged grand dogs, Paisley, Piper, Bella, Nala and Harper.

Hope was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 2nd from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where a Vigil service will begin at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 3rd at. St. Richard Catholic Church, with Fr. Eric Culler presiding.  Interment will follow at St. Richard’s Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Center at Mercy Health Perrysburg.
