Inez Louise Taft, age 71, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away early Friday morning, June 3, 2011 at Swanton Health Care & Retirement Center. She was born October 24, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio to Clarence and Dorothy (Meyer) Taft. She was a graduate of Swanton High School.

Louise worked at Kold Keg and worked 30 years at the Haven Lounge as a barmaid where she was known as “Weegie”. Louise was an avid fan of Nascar Racing and loved listening to country music.

Louise is survived by her mother, Dorothy; brothers, Calvin (Frances) Taft, Clarence (Paula) Taft, Carl (Donna) Taft, Charles (Cathy) Taft, and Richard (Carol) Showman; sisters, Phyllis Taft (Ed Ray) and Virginia (Don) Wise; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence; and 2 nieces, Angel Mary Wise and Kelley Lynn Taft.

Family and friends may visit Monday, June 6th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 7th at 2:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home with Christopher Roper officiating. Interment will follow at East Swanton Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
