James Alfred Alcorn

James Alfred Alcorn, age 69, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Monday morning, May 23, 2022 at Swanton Valley Health Care Center. James was born May 4, 1953 in Wauseon, Ohio to Walter J. and Verna (Thornton) Alcorn.  He was a 1971 graduate of Delta High School. James married the love of his life, Darlene (Tucker) Alcorn on December 14, 1999.

James was a mail carrier for many years in Swanton. He loved golf and bowling, he was also a huge Ohio State Buckeye football fan. Most of all he enjoyed being aroung his family, especially his 9 grandchildren. 

James is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Darlene; sons, Troy (Pam) Alcorn and Mikel Cornell; daughter, Jessica (Dave) Frederick; garandchildren, Alyania, Alisah, Kylie, Kaidie, Bentleigh, Graighson, Zaeleigh, Daxon and Dave; great-grandson, Grayson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Todd Alcorn and brother, Jack Alcorn.

Per James' wishes, he will be cremated and services will be private.

Darlene, I am so sorry for the loss of Jim, my condolences. I will always remember his joking with me anytime I would see him, his sense of humor was next to none. I will miss him very much. May he rest in peace and may God bless you and your family.
