James Henry Wheeler, age 70, of Metamora, Ohio; formerly of Holland, Ohio and Jackson, Michigan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Sunday morning, September 27, 2009 at Lake Park Comfort Care in Sylvania. He was born, October 16, 1938 in Jackson, Michigan to Clyde and Jola (Geistel) Wheeler.
James held several jobs over the years, including working as a mechanic for many different companies, and for the county on the road maintenance crew. He loved fishing and hunting, and enjoyed watching the deer and birds out his back window. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Tammy (James) Stark of Temperance, MI, Candy (Derek) Dake of Metamora, OH, Michael (Kathy) Wheeler of Metamora, OH, Lori (Robert) Coates of Holland, OH, Peggy Wheeler of Metamora, OH, James Wheeler of Metamora, OH and Clifford Wheeler, of Jackson, MI; grandchildren, Austin, Kilee, Derek, Jr., Carol, Briana, Sara, Kara, Savana, Ashley, Mike and Josh; great-grandchildren, Evan, Tyler, and Aiden; 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
James was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother.
A private memorial service will be held at Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora.
