Jan Reed Dickinson, age 73, of Holland, Ohio, passed away Saturday evening, March 23, 2024, at The Toledo Hospital, with his loving wife, Linda at his bedside. Jan was born September 5, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio to Herbert and Mildred (Retzloff) Dickinson. Jan was a 1968 graduate of Swanton High School, and enlisted in the United States Army. On June 27, 1987, he married Linda Smith.
Jan worked as a process attendant for Johnson Controls, retiring in 2013. He loved woodworking, tending to his yard and admiring the hummingbirds. Jan was also a gun enthusiast, who loved watching old movies and sports from the comfort of his lounge chair.
Jan will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 37 years, Linda; daughter, Jana (Mark) Kamp; 2 grandchildren, Alexis Boatfield and Avery Clarke; his sister, Sharon Spade and sister-in-law, Phyllis Schlegel.
Jan was preceded in death by his father, Herbert; mother, Mildred; brother, John Dickinson; brother-in-law, Steve Spade and stepfather, Thomas Wright.
Services for Jan will be private.
