Jerry Dean Lynn, age 70, of Holland, Ohio, passed away peacefully Friday evening, February 27, 2026, at the University of Michigan Medical Center, with his loving and devoted wife, Kim by his bedside as he left this world, leaving behind a legacy of love and fond memories. Jerry was born on November 29, 1955, in Flint, Michigan, to Russell E. and Katherine (Walker) Lynn.
Jerry dedicated over 31 years of his life as an auto worker for GM Powertrain, where his hard work and commitment were hallmarks of his career. A graduate of Anisworth high school, he was known for his keen ability to fix practically anything, showcasing a personality that was both very handy and resourceful. His passion for restoring, collecting and showcasing Pontiac Fiero’s led him to become the founder of the Fiero Car Club in Toledo. In addition to his automotive pursuits, Jerry enjoyed racing remote-controlled cars, playing video games, recreational target shooting, and fishing. He took immense pride in his home, and keeping up a well manicured lawn.
Jerry's life was enriched by the love he shared with his beloved wife Kim, whom he married on November 25, 1999, a union celebrated at Whiteford Wesleyan Church in Ottawa Lake, Michigan on May 22, 2000.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Marty) Wright, and sons, Joshua (Wendi) Lynn and Brian (Lindsay) Lynn; grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Nicole, Erica, Ethan, Lyla, Nic, and Lilly; great-grandkids, Nicholas and Ava; his sisters, Dawn (Dave) Rust and Karen Baird; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; his extended family, the Witt’s; and his faithful four-legged companion, Josie.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Katherine; father, Russell; stepfather, Rex Rice; mother and father-in-law, Annette Ruth Wilson and Jimmie Smith; twin brother, Gary; sister, Janet Simpson; and another four-legged friend, Holly.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 5th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main Street in Metamora, Ohio, where services for Jerry will begin at 12:00 (Noon). Interment will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
