Joan M. (Harrison) Schott

On May 16th an amazing woman gained her wings after a battle with a quick and sudden illness but was reunited with the love of her life. Joan M Schott (Harrison) was a 58’ Swanton Highschool Graduate. She was a vivid lover of flowers, baking, sewing as well as crocheting. She loved with all her heart and would do whatever for whomever. Joan lost her battle with a quick and sudden illness.

She will be greeted by her loving husband of 66 years Roy E Schott, her parents George & Mary Harrison, her siblings, son-in-law Tim Smitley, many other missed family members, and of course her many fur babies. Left to continue her memory is Daughter Shirley Smitley, Granddaughters Danialle Smitley & Ashley (Chris) Carver, Great Grandson Jaythen Smitley and Great Granddaughters Layla & Teigen Carver.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 24th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where funeral services will begin at 12:00 (Noon), with Pastor Todd Milner officiating. Interment will follow at Swanton Cemetery.
