Jodie Lynn (Norris) Steiner

Jodie Lynn (Norris) Steiner passed away on Monday, October 19, after courageously and resiliently battling cancer. During her battle she showed no fear, had no complaints and lived life to the fullest.

Jodie was born on January 11, 1976 in Wauseon, Ohio to James and Julie (Boyers) Norris. She graduated from Evergreen High School, as well as from Davis College, where she received a degree in Interior Design and from Owens Community College, where she received an Occupational Therapy Assistant degree. She married Chaun Steiner on April 28, 2001.

She poured her heart into her work at Sensational Kids for the past 16 years. She loved her job, her coworkers and the kids she worked with. Until her diagnosis she also did virtual occupational therapy and taught at Owens Community College.

Jodie’s interests included spending quality time with family and friends and giving to others. She was very creative and artistic and especially enjoyed spending time with children. She loved playing games, activities and puzzles, family trips and gatherings and coming up with fun activities. In her youth she participated in 4H and marching band.

She was the strongest, bravest, most beautiful, loving, caring, fun, funny, giving, and selfless wife, mother and woman. She had a big personality and even a bigger heart. She was truly the greatest and did so much for so many. She touched so many lives.

Jodie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Chaun Steiner; sons, Braeden Steiner and Bronson Steiner; mother, Julie Norris; sister, Jill (Simon) Gundy.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Norris; paternal grandparents, Laurence and Dorothy Norris and maternal grandparents, Alan and Maretta Boyers.
