John Strezinski, age 55, of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away November 4, 2022. He was born August 27, 1967 in Toledo, Ohio; son of the late Ronald and Carolyn Strezinski.
John served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Gulf War. He received the Meritorious Mast, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal and Rifle Expert Badge.
He enjoyed vacations to the ocean, fishing, swimming, camping, wood-making, yard projects, basketball, football (big Giants and OSU fan), listening to music—he was open to try just about anything, but his real passion and love was being home with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Amy Nguyen; stepsons, Dat Tran and Huy Nguyen; stepdaughter, Tien Tran; son-in-law Anthony Chanthalacksa; grandchildren, Aiden Kdam, Noah TranMlo and Ameila Chanthalacksa; sister Jeanette Strezinski; brother-in-law Daniel Frasher; brother Mike Strezinski; sister-in-law Amy Strezinski; niece Ava Strezinski; nephew Jacob Strezinski; niece Christina Strezinski; great nephews Eli and Dustin Strezinski; great nieces Ari and Neveah Strezinski; and his dog Bubba.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Richard Catholic Church, 333 Brookside Drive in Swanton, Ohio, with Fr. Eric Culler presiding. A luncheon will immediatley follow in the Parish Life Center.
