I was so sorry to hear that Jon passed away. As a new teacher of the visually impaired at Elmhurst, I learned so much from Jon. He did have a zest for life. I have a couple of memories. Once when one of his prosthetic eyes popped out and bounced on the floor, I put it in his palm & told him to go to the restroom to (use the mirror) put it back in. Another time he took my breath away & I saw my career passing in front of me, as he climbed up on the top board/brace of the swing set & walked across it like a balance beam. May your family have God's peace and grace.

Although it has been many years since I have spoken with you, I think back of how you used to call my dog Floufie and smile. Her name was actually Ladie but she did really love you and you would say Floufie in a higher pitched voice and she would wiggle her little tail and howl. I pray for peace for your family at this time.
