Joseph Michael Mermer

Joseph Michael Mermer, age 40, of Holland, Ohio, formerly of Swanton, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 21, 2019, in his home. He was born November 21, 1979 in Toledo, Ohio to Michael Harold  and Heather Michelle (Hensley) Mermer. He attended Swanton High School. 
 
Anyone who knew Joey, knew how much he loved God. He had a beautiful,  kind heart and a smile that could light up the entire room. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children and he was the definition of a true momma’s boy. He had an abundance of friends from all walks of life. Joey truly loved everyone. He enjoyed working with his hands, riding four wheelers and dirt bikes, and of course playing with all the kids. 
 
Joey will be deeply missed by his three children, Makayla, Jeremiah and Josiah Mermer; parents, sister, Alisha (Jake) Burnat; niece, Brooklyn Burnat; grandmother, Anna Zettler; Dozens of aunts,
 uncles and cousins; and his little buddy, Wyatt. 
 
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26th from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening in the funeral home with  Danny Duncan officiating.
