Juanita M. Sattler of Swanton, Ohio was born the fifth child of G. Carl and Arletta Graber.
She died peacefully at St. Clare Commons on March 18, 2026, under the wonderful care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio, and surrounded by family.
Juanita was a graduate of Bedford High School, Mary Manse College, and University of Detroit.
Throughout her life, Juanita served others in her parish, Holy Trinity in Assumption, Ohio, and in organizations centered around her faith, her teaching profession, and her love of children.
She touched many lives over the years teaching 5th grade at Fallen Timbers Middle School and as a reading specialist at Anthony Wayne Elementary. She served as a client consultant, and President of the Board for Heartbeat of Toledo. She was a member of Kappa Gamma Pi Service Sorority and Serra International.
Juanita was preceded in death by LaVern J. Sattler, her husband of almost 52 years. She is survived by her children, Rebecca (Vincent) Barry, Brenda (Michael) Stewart, Diane (James) Vincent, Joseph (Kristina) Sattler, Sylvia (Louis) White, and Andrew (Alison) Sattler, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Vigil Service and Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, Ohio.
A Traditional Latin Requiem Mass will be offered by her grandson, Rev. Fr. Zachary Barry, FSSP, at 10:00 a.m. Thursday March 26, 2026 at Toledo St. Joseph Catholic Church, 628 Locust St. Toledo, Ohio 43604 followed by burial at St Mary's Cemetery 13917 OH-64 Swanton, OH 43558.
Those who knew Juanita well probably heard her say, “Bring me flowers now, not when I am gone.” To honor her loving heart, in lieu of sending flowers, please donate to one of her favorite charities, where she spent many hours praying and spreading her faith and the pro-life message to those in need.
