Judith Ann Terry

Judith Ann Terry, age 81, of Delta, Ohio, passed away under hospice care, Thursday morning, October 3, 2024, in her sons home in Chatham, Virginia. Judy was born April 29, 1943 in Elk Valley, Tennessee to Aaron and Ruby (Baird) Thurman. Judy married Auston Terry on January 16, 1960, and he preceded her in death on July 21, 2019. 

Judy worked for the Swanton Local School District as a custodian, retiring in 2007. She enjoyed spending time with her family, looked forward to babysitting her grandchildren, and enjoyed taking long walks. 

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, John (Soonji) Terry and Mark (Kimberly) Terry; grandchildren, Jacob, Owen and Emma; her siblings, Stella (Jim) Belcher, Aaron Thurman, Jr., Peggy (Billie) Johnson and Sam (Julie) Thurman; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her beloved husband, Auston; Judy was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Terry, daughter, Patricia Terry; brothers, Kyle and Claude Thurman and sister, Mary Louise Thurman.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 10th at 1:00 pm at Shiloh Cemetery in Delta.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
