Junior A. Ward

Junior A. Ward, age 71, of Metamora, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Monday morning, April 25, 2016, at Flower Hospital. He was born October 8, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to Bert and Mary (Lumbrezer) Ward. He married Nadine Woodring on September 8, 1964.

Junior was an over the road truck driver for several companies in the Toledo area. His hobbies included target shooting with his friends, taking camping trips with his family, eating out with his wife, and sketching with color pencils. His memberships included the NRA and Ohio Fast Draw Association.

Junior is survived with his loving wife of 51 years, Nadine; son, Matthew (Tracy) Ward; mother, Mary Ward; brothers, Roger (Janet) Ward and Ronald (Nam) Ward; sister, Deborah (Jim) Cook; as well as several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Junior was preceded in death by his father, Bert Ward.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 27th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 28th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with Fr. David Nuss officiating. Interment will follow at Amboy Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
