Kathleen Marie Leggio

Kathleen Marie Leggio, age 73, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Kathleen was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 17, 1949, to Wilford and Beatrice (Otting) Moore. After High School, she went onto college where she graduated from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing, as a Registered Nurse. Kathleen met the love of her life John C. Leggio, III and they were married on May 8, 1972. She worked for HCR Manorcare for many years until retiring in 2010.

Kathleen was a devout Catholic and looked forward to attending church at St. Richard Catholic Church.  She an exceptional gardener and blessed with a green thumb. Kathleen could grow anything beautifully. She even won many blue ribbons for her exquisite plants at the Fulton County Fair. Most of all, Kathleen enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Left to cherish Kathleen’s memory are her children, Jennifer Spence, Anthony Leggio and Scott Leggio; sisters, Karen (Tom) Abrams, Theresa (Kevin) Seiler, Patricia Carroll and Mary (Kenny) Culler; grandchildren, John Spence and Dakota Spence.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Leggio, III; parents and brother, Kim Michael Moore.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 7th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 8th at St. Richard Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Eric Culler presiding. Interment will follow at St. Richard’s Cemetery.
