Kathleen "Kathie" J. Zitzman

Kathleen "Kathie" June Zitzman (LaLonde) age 69, of Swanton, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022, with her family by her side.

Kathie was born on May 13, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio. She attended Whitmer High School where she met her husband of 50 years, William "Billy" Zitzman. Together, along with their three children, they built a beautiful, rewarding life.

Kathie enjoyed spending time with her family, riding the motorcycle with her husband, taking vacations with family and shopping. Our Nana loved to shop. If it was a good deal, she bought it and then played roulette to see who got it for Christmas - her favorite holiday. Kathie held numerous jobs over the years, ending her career by retiring from Chrysler's Toledo Machining Plant where she was known as “Mrs. Z."

Kathie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Billy; children Tony (Monica) Zitzman of Wauseon, Nikki Hatfield (Greg Shipley) of Maumee, April (Mike) Rietzke of Fostoria; her beloved grandchildren Chelsea, Grace, Jon, Leah, Sam, Jace, Jaxon, four great-grandchildren; siblings Rick, Julie and Laura and her dear cat, Kitty Clyde.

Visitation will be held at Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton on Wednesday, May 4^th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 5^th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with Fr. Eric Culler presiding. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
