Kathryn Marie Bostelman

Kathryn Marie Bostelman, age 49, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at The Toledo Hospital.  She was born October 23, 1973 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Ronald Ray Bostelman and Elaine Fuhr Bitzinger.  Kathy was a 1992 graduate of Liberty Center High School and attended Owens Community College engineering program. 

Kathy worked as a manager for Bed Bath & Beyond for 15 years, and was currently working for North Star BlueScope Steel in Delta. She enjoyed bike riding, taking long walks and hikes through the Metroparks, photography and traveling to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  Kathy was also a collector of lighthouses.

Kathy will be remembered as having the kindest heart…..her eyes and smile would light up any room.  Her laugh and chuckles made everyone smile. She will be greatly missed by her mom, Elaine Bitzinger; brothers, Brian (Amanda) Bitzinger and Eric Bitzinger; grandmother, Betty Box; stepmom, Linda Bostelman; sisters, Kimberly (Matthew) Bryan and Stacy (Daniel) Smith; many nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins, and of course her furbabies, Kalimae and Gizmo, whom she dearly adored. 

Kathy was preceded in death by her dad, Ronald Bostelman; stepdad, Michael Bitzinger; maternal grandparents, Ellwood and Josephine Fuhr; and paternal grandfather, Carl Jack Bostelman.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 27th from 2 to 8 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 28th at 11:00 am in the funeral home, with Pastor Dalton Rosa-Ruggieri officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Waterville.
