Leland Ray Pifer

Leland R. Pifer, age 101, of Jasper, Michigan, passed away peacefully, Sunday March 10,2019, at Lenawee County Medical Care Facility in Adrian, Michigan. He was born March 5,1918 in Ogden Township to Cleo and Mildred (Broadbeck) Pifer.  Leland was a life-long farmer.

He married Hilda Fuhrer in 1938. Hilda preceded him in death in February of 1986. They spent many years in Florida until her death. He then married Vivien Pifer, who preceded him in death in 1998.  Also preceding him in death was his daughter-in-law, Eleanor Pifer.

Leland is survivied by his three children , Helen Marie (Donald) Albright of Adrian, MI, Darrel Pifer of Jasper, MI and Jean Ann (Michael) Sorowiec of Ellenton, FL; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

At his request there will be private graveside services held at Amboy Township Cemetery in Metamora.

The family would like to thank the Lenawee County Medical Center for the great care they gave their father during his stay.
