Lillian Knutson

Lillian Joyce Knutson, age 84, of Toledo Ohio, passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, December 1, 2019, at Swanton Health Care and Retirement Center.

Lillian was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 1, 1935, the daughter of Lowell E. and Theressa (Nagler) Aultman. She was a graduate of Scott High School. On July 18, 1953, she married Robert J. Knutson and he preceded her in death on July 19, 2019.

Lillian was a secretary of Auburn Press where she retired from in 1979. She became a homemaker raising four children, and was a loving wife and mother. Lillian lived on a sailboat for many years that her husband had built. She loved traveling, especially her adventures to Taiwan, the Virgin Islands and Florida. She enjoyed taking time relaxing with a good book. Lillian also had a talent for needlepoint. She looked forward to playing Bingo at Swanton Health Care, had a fond love for horses and took interest in collecting horse memorabilia.

Lillian is survived by her children, Cindie (Michael) Vega, Valerie Meyer, Eric (Ribka) Knutson, and Lisa (Gerald) Bodnar; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Robert, Lillian was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Blaine and Eddie Aultman.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Swanton Cemetery with Pastor Donna Stutzman officiating.
